A Backpacker’s Bucket List

I read a lot of articles and books about hikes, treks, expeditions, and backpacking trips around the world. It fills my heart with a desire to explore and adventure as much as possible. Recently I decided to start my bucket list of trips that I would like to accomplish in my lifetime (I’m sure the list will keep growing). I’m not sure that I’ll ever be able to accomplish all of these. I truly hope that I can. But in the meantime it doesn’t hurt to dream.

You can see that list here with links to websites describing the trails.

There will be a map soon that will pinpoint the trails.

So what’s on your bucket list?

  1. My son and I are thru-hiking the AT, beginning in March, after that… Stop editing books for others and write my own, do the PCT (with or without him), the CDT (he says he’s down for that one). Bucket lists tend to get checked off quickly once a person simplifies/downsizes, or they refuse to get caught up in the maze. I never read the book, but my son did (Maze Runner), and he repeats that phrase often. “Don’t go into the maze”

    • Thanks for stopping by blog and taking the time to comment! I’m so excited to hear that you and your son are hiking the AT together! I’m looking forward to following your journey. All three of those trails are a huge dream of mine. I haven’t heard of the Maze Runner, but it’s one I’ll look into reading. Those are wise words, “Don’t go into the maze.”
